me dad says that when he first went to go see mad max in theaters that it seemed very apocalyptic, ridiculously so, to see a character selling bottled water. the notion of selling it like that was outlandish. I think about that a lot and how such an idea has become normalized to the point where a new viewer wouldn’t bat an eye at it today. I think a lot about that and to the extent that Nestle has gone to privatize this natural resource. it’s a bit terrifying.
